1. We very strongly advise that you do not use Ouija boards. Some people, including myself, believe that this is an open portal to unknown worlds. Very dangerous things could happen because you never know who you’re talking to and what their intention is. There are evil spirits in this world of ours. The same thing goes for séances.

2. Respect peoples property and under no circumstances should you trespass. Find out who you need to talk to in order to get permission so you can operate more smoothly in your investigation. Not doing so could get you arrested, fines or both.

3. Personally, I wear a cross and pray before every hunt for protection. You do not have to but I strongly advise it.

4. Keeping a level head during investigations is key. Try not to let things scare you. Most of what you see or hear is made up in your head. Your brain has a funny way of interpreting information into what you want it to be.

5. Do not take pictures during storms, including dust or high winds nor should you take pictures around fog, snow or mist. This could result in inaccurate findings.

6. No smoking, drugs or drinking during an investigation. That’s self explanatory.

7. Séances, Ouija boards, dowsing rods, and other such instruments should not be taken as valid investigation methods.

8. Be polite while doing investigations. Always, always, always be polite. You don’t want someone being rude to you while they're on your property nor should you be rude on theirs.

9. Standing still while performing voice recordings will give you the best results. Also, use an external microphone so you won’t pick up the gears inside the recorder. Try to avoid wind and other foreign sounds while recording such as human voices, boilers, etc.

10. If someone is angry, dismiss them from the investigation immediately. There negative energy will draw angry spirits and turn away others. This could result in dangerous situations.

11. Don’t take pictures on dirt roads or in moving vehicles. This will result in inaccurate findings.

12. Do not record for a long period of time in one spot. The spirits will more than likely loose interest and go away.

13. An “orb” is almost always dust, rain or some other type of foreign object. Be mindful about that when reviewing results.

14. Ask the spirits of the dead for permission to take their photos/record their voices. It's the same principal if someone was to take your picture; you'd want to give them permission to do so. Studies have shown that you get better pictures and better luck of taking pictures with apparitions if you ask before hand.

15. Clean your lens before all hunts. Get all the fingerprints, dust, and other spots off of the lens.

16. Always, always, always use fresh audio tapes for tape recordings if you're not using a digital voice recorder. This could result in incorrect audio findings or nonsense in your results.

17. Avoid long hair, fingers, floating objects, foreign objects, reflective surfaces, camera straps and other such objects when taking pictures. This could result in faulty pictures.

18. Many ghosts are not out to scare you but if they were mean in real life, there more than likely going to be mean after. The same goes for the apparitions being nice in life. The majority of ghosts are nice so I wouldn't be too worried but make sure you're prepared for anything.

19. Ghosts don't come out just at night. You can hunt ghosts in day and night.

20. Do research on wrecks, accidental deaths, murders, and other such in your area and perform investigations there. Also remember, just because it's a cemetary and other such places that are generally "haunted" doesn't mean it haunted.

21. A great bit of time needs to be spent discovering the history and legends of the place, taking baseline readings such as temperature and magnetic fields, so be prepared to do so.

We hope that your investigations turn out very positive and wish you luck while doing so. May God bless you and keep you safe!
